Build a UFC Fighter is a free MMA fighter maker where you create your own UFC fighter and design your perfect mixed martial artist from scratch. Name them, pick a division and a fighting style, then spend a limited pool of attribute points across striking, power, speed, wrestling, grappling, cardio, chin and fight IQ. Because the points are capped, you have to choose what kind of fighter to build — a balanced all-rounder or a specialist. When you're done the builder tells you which real UFC fighter you created and lets you test them in a simulated bout. No download, no sign-up — it saves in your browser. Prefer to leave it to fate? The random UFC fighter generator hands you a real fighter, a random 5-fight card or a random weight class in one click.
Most games hand you a roster. Here you create a UFC fighter from a blank slate under a strict points budget — or let the random UFC fighter generator roll you a build in one click, so every build is a real trade-off — and a deep one. Spike a stat to 85+ and you unlock signature traits like One-Punch KO, Granite Chin or Cardio Machine that actually change how your fights play out, so the choice between a spiked specialist and a balanced all-rounder really matters. The builder names your archetype (Glass Cannon, Smothering Grappler, Slick Striker…), calls out your exploitable weakness, and tells you which of 300+ real fighters you most resemble — then throws you into the Gauntlet to prove the build.
The second mode on this page builds your fighter out of other people. Dream Fighter deals you one legend at a time — Francis Ngannou, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Alex Pereira, Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, Israel Adesanya and others — and you decide which slot to spend each of them on. Take Ngannou for punch power and you have spent the best knockout artist in the sport correctly; take him for fight IQ and you have wasted him. You get nine slots and four passes, so holding out for a better name is a real gamble: the deck does not owe you a wrestler.
There are no numbers on the cards. You are not comparing attributes, you are deciding whether the fighter in front of you is the best you are likely to see for that slot — which means it rewards knowing the sport rather than reading a stat line. When the nine slots are full your dream UFC fighter goes straight into the cage against a real ranked opponent, and the reveal shows which legend ended up behind each attribute. Build a second one and you can put the two side by side.
A build takes a few minutes. Name, weight class and stance are quick; the part that actually costs you time is spending a capped pool across eight attributes when you cannot max them all. Then the reveal gives you an overall rating, an archetype, the weakness you left exposed, and which of 300+ real fighters you most resemble.
Pick this one if you would rather make something than manage something. It is the only game here where the fighter is yours — everything else on the site deals you real people. If you do not feel like deliberating, the random generator rolls a whole build in one click. If you would rather raise a fighter over a lifetime than assemble one in an afternoon, that is the MMA Career Simulator, and if you want to put your creation to work, the fight simulator runs it against anyone on the roster.
What are signature traits?
Push any stat to 85 or higher and you unlock a signature trait — One-Punch KO, Granite Chin, Cardio Machine, Submission Wizard, Takedown Machine, Ring General or Blitz Starter. You can equip up to two, and they change how your fights play out: a One-Punch KO build can steal a fight it was losing, a Granite Chin build is almost impossible to finish. It rewards spiking a stat instead of spreading your points evenly.
How do I create my own UFC fighter?
Pick a division and style, then spend your capped points pool across the eight attributes — or hit the random generator for an instant build. The moment you're done you'll see your fighter's overall rating, archetype and the real UFC fighter you most resemble. It's the fastest way to create your own UFC fighter online, free and with no sign-up.
Can I build the perfect UFC fighter?
You get a fixed points budget, so you can't max every attribute — you choose between a balanced all-rounder or a specialist like a knockout striker, a wrestler or a submission grappler. That trade-off is the whole game.
Which real fighter will I build?
As you set your stats, the builder compares your profile against 300+ real UFC fighters and names the one you most resemble by style.
What is Dream Fighter mode?
Instead of spending points, you are dealt real legends one at a time — Ngannou, Khabib, Pereira, McGregor and more — and choose which attribute slot to spend each on. Nine slots, four passes. The cards carry no numbers, so it is a judgement call about the fighter rather than a comparison of stats, and spending Ngannou on fight IQ is a wasted pick.
Which mode should I play?
Build from scratch if you want to design a fighter and see which real UFC name you recreated. Play Dream Fighter if you would rather assemble one out of legends and argue about who belongs where. They are separate games with separate free plays, and you can switch between them without losing a run.
Is it free?
Completely free — runs in your browser, no download, no sign-up, and saves your fighter locally.
Can I test my fighter?
Yes — hit Test Fight to simulate a bout against a real fighter in your division, with win odds and a KO, submission or decision result.
